Ruth Messer

Ruth Pauline (Schoenleb) Messer, age 74, of Westerville, OH was called home to be with the Lord on Good Friday, April 2, 2010. After a long and passionate battle of recovery from a stroke, she was surrounded by her loving children and grandchildren when she passed away peacefully at Mt. Carmel West Hospice Center. Ruth was a born on September 10, 1935. a devout Catholic, a member of St. Patrick Church. She was a very happy and long term resident of Uptown Westerville where she loved to shop and take walks. She also enjoyed cheering on the favorite Buckeyes as well as catching a good NASCAR race. She was preceded in death parents Gertrude and Ralph Schoenleb, brothers Ralph Schoenleb, Jr. and Bill Schalip, and loving daughter Deborah Messer. She was a devoted mother and grandmother who dearly adored her children and grandchildren. Survived by loving daughters Tereasa Messer, Christina (Bill) Fuller, and loving sons James and Mike Messer; by loving grandchildren Michael Blackstone, Heather Messer, Patrick, Vincent, Alex, Noelle, Macey, Luke and baby Fuller, Jamie, Tiffany, and James Messer; by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Friends may call at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, OH, Tuesday 6-8 p.m.; Funeral Mass St. Patrick Church, 280 N.
