PRESKAR
Rick J. Preskar, age 65, of Columbus, OH, passed away Wednesday, March 9, 2011. Retired Electronics Technician from DOD, DISA. Ten year veteran of U.S. Army Security Agency. Served as Chaplain for Christian Motorcycle Association in Logan, OH. Served as pastor for 6 years in Logan and Sugar Grove, OH. Ordained Minister of the Missouri Synod of the Lutheran Church. Attended Cuyahoga Community College, Miami University and New York University. Held a masters degree from Concordia Theological Seminary. Preceded in death by his father, John; step-grandson, Tristan Jack Felkner. Survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Eric (Amy) and Josef (Kristine); daughter, Nicole Gonzales; mother; Christine; step-son, Brian (Heather) Felkner; grandchildren, Alexis and Megan Preskar; step-grandchildren, Tore and Rebekah Howe; father-in-law, Jack (Mary) Russell; sister-in-law, Kathy Landes and brother-in-law, Bruce (Shelly) Russell. Friends may visit Monday, March 14th from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville where a service will follow at 12:00 p.m.. Pastor Steve Benninger officiating. Interment Mifflin Cemetery.
