John Green, Sr.

John Otis Green, Sr, age 72, husband of Elizabeth Porter Green, passed away Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Born in Columbus, OH, he was the son of the late Leon “Lee” and Faye Jacoby Green. A Supervisor with Anheuser-Busch, he retired after 37 years of service. He was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Westerville, OH. John enjoyed reading, was a lover of classic muscle cars, and was an avid Ohio State football fan. He was an Air Force veteran of the Vietnam War, holding the rank of Sgt. while serving as a Crew Chief. In addition to his wife of 13 years, he is survived by his children, Elissa O. Porter, Emily E. Porter, Wiley Porter, Jenny Rodocker, Jamie Green, John O. Green, Jr. and Danny Green; 12 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brother, Joe (Bea) Green. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Carole Green; daughter, Angie Green; and brother, Ed Green. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Sunday 2-5 p.m. where service will be held Monday at 11 a.m.. Burial will follow at the St. Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, OH.
