SIMPSON
Willard Simpson, born on July 6, 1929, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. Retired from the United States Air Force and Pastoral Ministries. Preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Irene. Survived by current wife, Shirely. children: John (Luana) Simpson of Columbus, David Simpson of San Antonio, Texas and Kimberley (Doug) Rowe of Bellbrook, Ohio. brother Clyde (Barbara) Simpson of Kissimmee, Florida. grandchildren: Michael Simpson, Melissa (Chris) Kauffman, Timothy (Denise) Simpson, Christina (David) Long, Holly Tucker and Tonya Simpson. 9 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road Westerville, 5-8 p.m. Friday where service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday February 23, 2013. Pastor Ed Deming officiating. Interment Northlawn Memory Gardens.

We were saddened to hear about the passing of Rev. Simpson.
I remember as teenager’s we would sometimes talk during his sermon and then we would notice everything was quiet. We would look up and Rev. Simpson would be standing at the pulpit just staring at us. He never had to say a word, that look, let us know we had done wrong.

We were saddened to hear about Sarge’s passing. We were both very fond of him, even though the time we spent together was short. You will be in our prayers.
