My hearts goes out to the family. I worked with Laura as a “Lunch Lady” and will miss her smile. She was always willing to help us clean the tables if we were short of help, and always upbeat. May she rest in peace.

Kathy Livingston - Sep 13, 2010

Our thoughts and prayers go out to your family in the loss of a beautiful, young vibrant woman. May she rest in Gods arms and in your hearts forever. So sorry we were unable to attend the calling hours. With love and sympathy.

Laura’s family,
Laura was a wonderful and beautiful person. She was in my wedding in October 1979.I ran into her at Meijer’s a couple of years ago. While catching up from so many years apart it was just like the old Laura and we had never been apart!! It saddens my heart to have seen this news in todays paper. Be comforted that she is at home in heaven, and you will have a reunion some day.
Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Rick & Pam (Andrix) Campbell

I am so sorry to hear of Laura’s passing. We used to run into each other at Meijer, and have been known to clog up an aisle for over an hour catching up on old times and new times. I remember many times spending the night with Adeen and her “little sister” hanging around. She was a beautiful and special young lady. My thoughts and prayers go out to your family.

Life changes for us so suddenly and so hard. It’s always changing; however, God never does.
God’s Peace be with you.

Elizabeth Overmier - Sep 11, 2010

I am so sorry to hear this news. I am so glad I went to Laura’s house on my birthday. Laura was born one day before me, so on Aug. 25 we joked again about her being the old lady. We talked about her work at school, she told me how she looked after the students in the lunchroom like they were her own children. She told me about how her efforts helped one student improve his behavior. I told her the story of the little boy on the ocean beach saving starfish one at a time. I told her that boy is her starfish. She told me that I should rejoice that my family needs me to keep things in order. She also told me to run for her because her health wouldn’t let her be as active as her mind. She brought out wine, we had pizza. We talked about our children and how great they are doing. Even though we had not seen each other for awhile, it was like we were still living across the street from each other. That’s a rare friend, I will miss her and remember our last conversation for the rest of my life.
