SALYER
Zelda Salyer, age 99, of Centerburg died Thursday, August 23, 2012, at home. Born in Lawerence County, KY, Feb. 23, 1913, to Gracie Prince and Leonard Goins. She was a charter member of the Heart of Ohio Women’s Association, a Licensed Practical Nurse, and the co-owner of Salyer Nursing Home. She is survived by three granddaughters, Sherry (Fred) Altizer, Cindy (Kurt) Williams, and Angie (Chuck) Hatcher, all of Centerburg; six great-grandchildren, Zane, Graham and Abby Altizer and Chase, Hayden and Alayna Hatcher; as well as her sister Ramie McConnell of Huntsville, AL. She was preceded in death by her husband Jay; her children, Marie, Charles, Lowell and Frances; 2 grandchildren, Johnathan Paul and Charles E. II; her parents and several brothers and sisters. A graveside service and interment will be held at Yatesville Cemetery, Louisa, KY, Sunday, August 26. Arrangements by JOHNSON-MELICK-MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Centerburg, OH.
