Yvonne Campbell

Elva "Yvonne" McFarland Campbell, age 101, of Westerville, passed from this life on March 26, 2025. She is survived by a daughter, Jeanie (Richard) Jones, daughter-in-law, Linda (Bob) Hise, four grandchildren, Wade (Jayme) Jones, Brett (Jessica) Jones, Heather (Akili) Yates, and Michael (Ashley) Campbell, numerous great-grandchildren, a great-great granddaughter, and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 75 years, Don Campbell, her parents, Lonnie and Elva McFarland, her sisters, Jean McBrayer and Gail Binford, her brother, John McFarland, and her son, Ken Campbell.

Yvonne was born in Killeen, Texas, on February 18, 1924. She grew up in the Texas panhandle and graduated from Friona High School and Texas Tech University. After marrying Don, the love of her life, she moved to Ohio and became mother to Jeanie and Ken. She was also a kindergarten teacher in the Westerville City Schools for many years. After retiring from the city system, she operated the Campbell House Preschool in her home. Yvonne was a member of Spring Road Church of Christ, and she loved her church family dearly. Her life was rich and full, and she could always find the positive aspects of any situation. She adored her family with all her heart, and she helped to make so many wonderful memories for them. She also welcomed and loved a multitude of others who came, by God's grace, into her life, and they were her family, as well. Her optimistic, loving spirit will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Spring Road Church of Christ, 74 South Spring Road, in Westerville, on Monday, March 31st. The service will begin at 10:30 and visitation will take place from 9:00-10:30. Burial will take place following the service.
