William R. “Bill” Nirote, age 85, of Columbus, OH. April 11, 2010. Retired from The Union Co.. Graduate of Franklin University. Member of Blendon Lodge #339 F & AM, Scottish Rite, Aladdin Temple Shrine and Shrine Patrol Unit, also member of Karl Road Christian Church and an associate member of First Christian Church in Ft. Pierce, Florida, and lifetime member of VFW Post 4153. Army veteran of World War II. Survived by his wife, June; children, Denis (Jan) Grabill, Lynn (Andy) DiLoreto and Luann (Bill) Headley; 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren plus one expected in May; twin brother, Ron (Rose) Nirote; many nieces and nephews.Preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Kenney Nirote and daughter, Marsha Murphy. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.. Service will be held at Karl Road Christian Church, 5400 Karl Road, Columbus, OH Thursday at 10 a.m., Rev. Margot Connor, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to Karl Road Christian Church Building Fund.
