FISHER
William Morgan Fisher, age 86, of Westerville, OH passed away into the Lord’s hands Monday, March 1, 2010. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Betsy. He will truly be missed by family and friends including his children, John (Brigitte) Summerville, William (Lisbeth) Fisher and Betsy (Michael) Bringardner; grandchildren, Dr. Virginia Summerville, Erika (Justin) Joyner, Derek Fisher, Mark Bringardner and Jack Bringardner; great-grandchildren, Abigail and Christian Joyner. He attended Denison University, Capitol University and Franklin University. He enlisted in 1942 and received his wings as a pilot serving heroically in the Pacific during WWII. He continued in the reserves for almost 15 years, retiring as Lt. Commander. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with three stars, the Asiatic-Pacific Ribbon with three stars, the Presidential Unit Citation and three other ribbons. He worked in the family business William M. Fisher and Sons then joined the Ohio Company which he was with for 26 years, retiring in 1987.Attended Croton United Methodist Church. A special thank you to Hospice of Central Ohio for their loving care. Thank you also to all the wonderful caregivers of Summerville at Outlook Manor. Friends may visit Saturday, March 6th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, where a service will follow at 1:00 p.m.. Pastors Eva Marie Wolfe and Mark Pearce officiating. Interment Greenlawn Cemetery. Donations may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, 2269 Cherry Valley Road SE, Newark, OH 43055.
