Willard Wayne ”Mac” McClure, 78, of Columbus passed away surrounded by family and friends on March 4, 2013 at Mt. Carmel Hospital West. He was preceded in death by parents, James Henry McClure and Mattie Margaret
McClure (Harris), sisters Audrey McClure and Delores Nelson, former wife Ann Darcey Clinger and son Michael McClure. Mac is survived by sisters; Daisy Durst, Viola McDade and Vera Barnhart; daughters, Kathryn (Kammy) McClure and Patricia Ann (Patti) Stephens; grandsons Stewart Michael Stephens, Matthew Thomas Stephens and Justin Henry Stephens. Mac was born on May 15, 1934 in Leon, West Virginia. He served in the U.S. Army for four years (1958-1962). His last assignment was with the military police in Ft. Myer, Virginia. He came to Columbus and worked for Holiday Inn and Westinghouse on the west side – then spent many years with Sears, retiring in 1997. Mac loved golf, boating, fishing and time with family and friends. Family will receive friends from 2 to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road Westerville. A brief service will be held at 3:30 p.m., followed by a Celebration of Mac’s Life at the Worthington Moose Lodge, 1970 Schrock Road Columbus.
