HILTON
Willard C. ”Nick” Hilton, age 86, passed away Saturday March 9, 2013. He was born April 30, 1926 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Willard M. Hilton and Mary Louise Barber. Nick was a retired City of Columbus Police Officer and Detective for the Franklin County Prosecutors Office. He was also a 32 degree Master Mason, West Gate Lodge #623 F & AM. U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by siblings, Roger Hilton and Jean Volkmar. Nick is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (Hays) Hilton; children, Kimberly Abbondanza, Jennifer Winfield and Steven (Laura) Hilton. Grandchildren; Jonathan, Alexander, Megan, Heather and Justin. many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road Westerville, 2-4 & 6-7 p.m. Wednesday March 13, 2013 with Celebration of Life service at 7:00 p.m. Rev. David Redding officiating. Private interment Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

Just received message Uncle Nick was having a service. Not informed of funeral service. We live in Illinois on a farm,. Unable to get someone to watch our animals on short notice. Trying to send flowers for the service as we speak… 🙁 to represent our family THE BURNS FAMILY. John-Paula-Brandon and Cody. Uncle Nick was THE GREATEST UNCLE EVER (besides Uncle Rodger!! 🙂 They were pranksters and they locked my Dad out of the church when my Mom Jean Volkmar was to marry my Dad!! It was so funny! They were so funny! He in deed had an awesome smile and sense of humour and loyalty to family!! His love for his devoted wife Nancy is like a EVER AFTER story!!! The PERFECT couple! Prayer and hugs and kisses are being sent to the family. Steve, Kim, Ginger we are so sorry for the loss of your Father.He will be SO sorely missed. Love you all…..
