Wilbur Tobias

Wilbur E. “Gene” Tobias, age 89, of Columbus, OH passed away peacefully January 25, 2018 at home. Retired from State of Ohio Department of Highways. Member and volunteer at City of Columbus Gillie Recreation Center. Loved hunting, fishing and camping, his real passion was cooking. U.S. Army veteran of Korean War.Survived by his wife of 64 years, Donna; sons, Wilbur, Jr. (Patricia), Terry Joe (Janie) and Jeffrey (Tami); 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; brother, Raymond Tobias; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Gale; brothers, Melvin, John, Rodney and Orville. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. followed by a service at 8 p.m.. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Gillie Recreation Center.
