Virginia Ruth Sweeney, age 84, of Westerville. April 7, 2016 at Worthington Christian Village. Devoted mother, grandmother and was a caregiver to relatives and friends. Survived by children, Mike (Michelle) Sweeney and Carla (Tim) West; grandchildren, Amanda Sweeney, Collen and Brenden West, Allison (Justin) West-Southern and Kiera (Tim) Paul; great-grandchildren, Josie and Malcolm Paul; brother, Ray Karnes; sister, Maryalys Hill; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack W. Sweeney. Funeral service will be held at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Wednesday at 11 a.m. where friends may call 1 hour before the service. Interment Northlawn Memory Gardens.

Is the son of Ruth, the Mike Sweeney that attended High School at Central Ohio JVS in Plain City Ohio and attended Jonathan Alder? If so, please get back to me as I’d like to attend the viewing at the funeral home on Wednesday. I was Mike Sweeney’s junior year instructor at the JVS my first year teaching there but don’t know if it is the same family or not.
