Verne F. Hunter, age 82, of Westerville, OH. Sepember 27, 2009 at home. Retired from Ashland Oil Co.. Member The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Navy veteran, World War II. He loved raquetball, camping and Blue Grass music. Survived by his wife of 61 years, Rae; children, Katrina (Garth) Baker, Ken (Ruth) Hunter, Kalenn (David) Stallings and Kelli Hunter; 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchilden; brother, Donald (Betty) Hunter; and other relatives. Preceded in death by 4 sisters and 1 brother. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Thursday 6-8 p.m.. Funeral service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 307 Huber Village Blvd., Westerville, Friday at 11 a.m. with visitation 1 hour before the service, Bishop Kevin Birch, officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery.
