ADLER

Thom Adler, beloved husband and father, was born on June 28, 1949 in Oberlin, Ohio to Bud and Margaret Adler. He passed away peacefully at home on May 6, 2015 as the result of a brain tumor. He attended Willmington College and served in the armed forces. Thom is survived by his wife, Kathy Kennedy, his mother Margaret, daughter Dr. Christina (Todd) Payne, son Michael (Sarah Beth), grandchildren Davis, Cathryn, Lydia and Margaret. Additionally, he is survived by his brother Dick (Sherri) and sisters Jan (Ron) Cramer and Diane. Thom also had many special nieces, nephews and cousins. Thom never met a stranger and had many friends. His generosity was truly remarkable. He retired from the Kroger Co. as the Director of Finance. As a long time Kroger associate, Thom brought his own special brand of humor to the Finance area. His family has the greatest gratitude and utmost respect for the people who accompanied us on this journey, especially the doctors, nurses and staffs at The James Cancer Hospital, The Dodd Rehab Hospital, The National Church Residences in Gahanna, and our Ohio Health Hospice team. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville on Monday, May 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. and Tuesday, May 12 from 11 a.m.-12 noon followed by a service beginning at noon with lunch immediately following at the Brookstone Club House. It is our hope and prayer that outcomes can be improved for those stricken with these cancers.
