Terry Lynn Miller Salser , age 67, of Westerville, passed away at her home peacefully May 1. She was born on January 6, 1959 Johnstown, Ohio, to the late Betty Patton Miller and James Miller.A proud graduate of Johnstown Monroe High School, Class of 1977, Terry brought energy and spirit to everything she did—even as a cheerleader, where her vibrant personality first shined for all to see. Following high school, she pursued her passion for beauty and style by attending cosmetology school, a path that reflected her creativity and love for helping others feel their best.
In 1987, Terry married the love of her life, John Salser, who survives. Together they built a life rooted in love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. She is also lovingly remembered by her children, Son Sean , Daughter Megan; and her daughter-in-law, Natalie Stallings; her beloved grandchildren, Khalif, and Ellena Mae; her cherished nephew, Corey Miller; and her cousin, Dawn Pickens, though their bond was much more like that of sisters than cousins. Terry also leaves behind her loyal and much-loved companions, her dogs Lola and Max.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Miller; her mother, Betty Bolton Miller; her stepfather, Dick Bolton; and her brother, Rick Miller.
Terry was truly one of a kind—full of life, with a personality as fiery and unforgettable as her beautiful hair. She had a gift for finding joy in the little things, whether it was scoring the perfect deal on Marketplace, enjoying lunch and laughter with her old high school classmates once a week, or cheering from the sidelines at every one of her grandson’s sporting events. She loved camping and traveling with John, making memories wherever the road would take them.
One of her greatest joys was her pride and joy—her 1966 Mustang convertible. She delighted in showing it off at car shows, her smile as bright as the car itself, reflecting her love for both adventure and nostalgia.
Above all, Terry’s greatest role—and the one she treasured most—was being a Mimi, a wife, and a mother. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she poured her heart into every moment spent with them. Her love was fierce, her laughter contagious, and her presence unforgettable.
Terry’s legacy is one of warmth, strength, and boundless love. She leaves behind a family who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts and a community that will never forget her vibrant soul.
She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
Services will be held at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road in Westerville, OH. The family will receive friends Thursday May 7th from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held Friday May 8th, 2026 at 11:00am.
