I met Sylvia when I became a teacher at Hawthorne Elementary School in the early ‘80’s. She was very welcoming to this then “newbie” teacher. Although we didn’t stay in touch, I feel that if I ran into her we would have conversed easily and caught up on the years that had passed.
I’m sure she is now doing something she loved and is playing piano for one of God’s heavenly choirs.

So saddened to hear about Sylvia. I met her while she attended Upper Arlington Lutheran Church. She and I would always meet at church on Good Friday’s and attend church together and the have lunch at Bob Evans. I met a lot of her friends at the January birthday parties she would have to celebrate her birthday and mine which was earlier in the month. Later while chatting I found out I had attended high school with her sister. She loved to talk about North High School and her younger days. She was lots of fun to be with. I will miss her. Julie

I am so sorry to hear of Sylvia’s passing. I worked with her for many years at Whittier School in Westerville. She enjoyed working with children and made music interesting for them. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
