Suzanne DeGarmo

Suzanne (Erwin) DeGarmo, age 73, passed away of natural causes on December 23, 2025. Preceded in death by her parents, Hollis and Helen Erwin; husband of 32 years, Dan DeGarmo; and brothers, Michael Meeker and Bruce Erwin. Survived by her son, Shane (Julie); daughter, Abby (Andy); sister, Cindy (Buddy); grandchildren, Madeline and Brady DeGarmo, and Jude Dutiel; and several nephews and nieces. Although suffering from mid-to-late stage dementia, Suzanne’s smile, spirit, and love and devotion as a mother, grandmother, sister, and friend never wavered. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling to the beach and mountains, reading books, and listening to music. The family would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Scott Morris; the Childress, Dutiel, and Rouse families for their continued friendship and support; and lifelong friend Jill Schmall, whom she shared many laughs, cries, and adventures with.
