Susan Jo Gibbs

A dear daughter, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Susan Jo Gibbs passed away peacefully on April 2nd, 2025, at the age of 69. Born in Muskogee, Oklahoma, on July 19th, 1955, she was known for her strong opinions and unwavering will to fight for what she believed was right.

Susan's life was blessed with a caring family. From her first marriage, she was the mother of three children: William, Alfred, and Sariah. She is survived by her children and her grandchildren: Mikiah, Caden, Millaray, and William. Later in life, she remarried Paul Gibbs, and she devotedly cared for him until his passing in 2022, demonstrating her immense capacity for love.

Beyond her family, Susan cherished the company of her select pets throughout her life. She found great joy in nurturing life and creating with her hands. She had a deep passion for cooking, canning the fruits of her labor, and tending her garden. In her leisure time, she also enjoyed the peaceful and creative practice of crocheting.

A member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Susan held a testimony of God and Jesus Christ and their boundless love for all humanity. Her professional life journey encompassed two distinct phases: meticulous bookkeeping, followed by an adventurous career as a truck driver, showcasing her adaptability and determination.

Susan was loved by those close to her and will be greatly missed.
