Sue Ann (King) Moore, age 87 of Westerville, OH, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025 with her husband of 66 years at her side. She was born July 3, 1937 to Ruth (Wheeler) and Ralph P. King of Huntington, WV.
Sue Ann was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, R. Richard "Dick" King. She is survived by her husband, Jack E. Moore; her daughters, Laura (William) Mackin of Dublin and Polly Moore of Johnstown; grandchildren Dylan (Siera) Moore, Alex (Sierra) Moore, and Elizabeth Moore; and four great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters-in-law Sue King, Diane (Darrell) Williams, and Karen (AG) Harris.
Graduating from Huntington East High School in 1955, Sue Ann began married life with Jack on August 30, 1958. They resided in Blacksburg, VA while he attended Virginia Tech, where she was also employed. Their next move was to Norfolk, VA, where he served as an officer in the United States Navy. They returned to Huntington to raise their family in 1965.
Sue Ann lent her considerable organizational and leadership skills to countless organizations, including Beverly Hills Presbyterian Church in Huntington, WV, Central College Presbyterian Church and Central College Preschool in Westerville, Ohio; the Woman's Club of Huntington; Huntington Art Museum; The Columbus Symphony League; St. Ann's Hospital; and various needlework organizations. She earned an Associate's degree from Marshall University, partnered with Jack in managing his companies, and also worked as a legal secretary.
Sue Ann's most important and impactful work, though, was her constant loving presence in the lives of her husband and daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved nothing more than family time from large family vacations and celebrations to intimate one-on-one moments.
As a life-long Presbyterian, Sue Ann led her family with unwavering Christian faith; a refreshing mix of casual elegance and lightning-quick wit; and dogged determination in the face of life's challenges. She was a gifted quilter, embroiderer and seamstress, stitching together gorgeous works of art and the fabric of a beautiful life with her patient and perfect seams.
Funeral service will be held at Central College Presbyterian Church, 975 S. Sunbury Rd., Westerville, on Saturday, April 12 at 2 p.m., with visiting hours prior to the service at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central College Presbyterian Church or the Westerville Public Library.

Words cannot possibly express how important this family has been to me. I grew up calling Sue Ann my Mommy #2 and will always think of her that way. God be with Jack, Laura, Polly and family.
