Shirley Rose Rodgers, most recently of Westerville, Ohio, passed away on July 1, 2023.

Shirley was born on December 21, 1934, to Abraham and Veronica Felcher in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from Paterson (New Jersey) High School and met her husband, Donald Rodgers in Paterson.

Shirley retired from her career working for the City of Roswell, Georgia.

Shirley was a devoted mother to Marcy (Rick Eckler) Rodgers and Donald (Kuani) Rodgers. She loved her grandchildren Sara (Charles Wenner) and Michael Austin, Kyl Rodgers and Chelsea and Connor Eckler and her great-grandsons Raymond and Anthony Wenner.

Shirley is also survived by her sister Arline Claxton, George (Linda) Rodgers, and Ellen (Andy) Berfond (brothers and sisters-in-law), nephews and nieces, David (Dayna) Claxton, Mark (Sarah) Claxton, Daniel Berfond, Sheri Verilli and Kim Tamburelli and several great-nieces and nephews.

Shirley was preceded in death by Abraham and Veronica (Ally) Felcher (parents), Donald L. Rodgers (husband), Anna and George Rodgers (parents-in-law), Constance Flannery (sister), Michael Austin (grandson) and Donald M. Rodgers (son).

Shirley's family would like to express their gratitude to the amazing staff at the Gables of Westerville for their love and the care they gave Shirley. They are like family. Our love and gratitude also goes to Jacala Hardy who cared for Shirley like a daughter. Many thanks to the caring staff from Capital City hospice. Shirley was well-loved by so many people.

Blessings to Marcy and Family on the passing of Aunt Shirley. Loved spending time learning, crying and laughing with my Aunt, whether in NJ, Chicago, Atlanta or Columbus.
