Shirley Ann (Larkin) Seymour 80, went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2022. She passed peacefully surrounded by her family. Shirley was born on September 15, 1941, in Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and JoAnn (Gilliland) Larkin. She is survived by her Son, Mark (Lori) Seymour of Westerville; Daughter, Amy (Eric) Miller of Westerville; Grandsons, Mark Anthony Seymour of Westerville, Brad (Briana) Fisk of Savannah, Georgia, Brandon Miller of Pensacola, Florida, and Granddaughter, Allison Miller of Westerville; Sisters, Karen Jester of Hilliard, Sharon (Jim) Allison of Centennial, CO, Robert (Gilbert Gonzales) Larkin of Columbus and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. Shirley was a proud graduate of Columbus West High School where she was voted Most Athletic Female. In her later years, she loved bowling and playing tennis. Shirley enjoyed her 30 plus year career at Otterbein College where she was an Administrative Assistant in the Alumni Relations Department. While there, she found herself typing many papers for her children and their friends. Prior to Otterbein, she spent several years as the secretary to the Head Brewmaster for Anheuser Busch. She was involved in many of her childrens and grandchildrens activities. She especially enjoyed sports and was typically watching a ball game or a cheerleading competition. Shirley was appreciative of the reputation of the Westerville/ Otterbein community. She especially liked when Westerville was referred to as the Quiet Peaceful Village. Special thank you to Capital City Hospice through the Inn at Bear Trail for giving her loving care and friendship. Friends may call Saturday, August 6, 2022 from 9-11 a.m. at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Rd. Westerville, OH 43081 where a service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Im so sorry I did not know of this. Shirley was so kind and so enthusiastic at Otterbein. I loved seeing her at homecoming games. She will surely be missed. Heaven definitely inherited an Angel.
