MANN
Shan Ann Mann, age 79, of Westerville. January 7, 2011. Retired from The Ohio State University after 26 years service. An avid Buckeye Fan. Member and Treasurer of Women of Westerville, also member of several knitting groups and made hats for premies and cancer patients. Survived by her husband, Hugh; children, William (Debbie) VanSickle and Sue (Steve) Case; son-in-law, Dale McCombs; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Helen Spoon and Lynn Welcker; many nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by daughter, Beth McCombs. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday 5-8 p.m. where service will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.. Interment Fancher Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Beth McCombs 4H Scholarship Fund c/o Moreland Funeral Home 43081. People attending the service are encouraged to wear their favorite O.S.U. Buckeye attire.

the things i remember about shan… her laugh, her love of of her family, her love of dogs. my heartfelt condolences to hugh, her kids, her sisters. i wish i could be with all of you to celerbrate her life.

Hugh – I’m sorry to hear about Shan. Since I’m out of town I won’t be at the visitation but you are in my thoughts. I really enjoyed getting to know her through out class gatherings. Take care and see you at MCL in February.
