Ruth Wisler, 70, from Amanda, Ohio, passed away on 15, February, 2018. Ruth was enjoying retirement from American Agricultural Insurance Company. She was well known in the community for her various volunteer work such as helping children learn to swim at the local YMCA and the Battle of Columbus Martial Arts Festival. She was very active in Toastmaster’s International as the assistant to the director of District 40 and as a Pathways Ambassador. She achieved the highest rank of Distinguished Toastmaster. She is survived by loving husband of 35 years, John L. Wisler, daughters, Beverly Montgomery and Rebekah (Josh) Stamey; grandchildren, Audrey Evans, Hannah Stamey and John Stamey and sisters-in-law Shirley Borean and Jeannine (Julio) Scott. Ruth is preceded in death by father, Elmer Smith, mother, Amanda (Patterson) Smith and siblings, Rebecca Murphy, Ronald Smith and Julia Nicely. She will be incredibly missed by both family and friends. Visitation will be held Tuesday 4:30-7:30 p.m. at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, OH. Service will be held at Westerville Community of Christ Church, Africa Road Wednesday at 11 a.m.. Interment Walnut Grove Cemetery.

Having the great fortune of being married to Ruth’s sister Rebecca for 32 years and knowing Ruth during that time, I feel the ache of loss for her as I did her sister when she passed away.
