Ruth A. “Boots” Thompson, age 86, of Westerville, passed away Friday November 27, 2015 at St. Ann’s Hospital. Retired from Ohio Bureau of Unemployment. Survived by sons, Tom (Kathy) Thompson of Delaware and Bob Thompson of Westerville; grandchildren, Jason, Michael, Chris, Joe, Spencer, Mason, Zack and Leah; great-grandchildren, Brittnee, Gabe, Ben and Ava; brother, Terry (Carol) Jones; numerous nieces and nepherws. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold L. Thompson. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. where sevice will be held Thursday at 11 a.m., Rev.David M. Redding, officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

My deepest condolences go out to your family. It’s very little that can take away from the pain we experience when we lose a loved one, but one thing that helps me find comfort and hopefully helps you too, is the the promises found in the Bible. Such as, Isaiah 25:8 where God promises to soon, “swallow up death forever” and to “wipe away the tears from all faces”.
