Ruth J. Johnson, age 91, of Galena, OH, passed away April 7, 2016. Former owner of a beauty shop and instructor at a beauty school, both in Athens, OH. Lifetime member of Harlem Township Garden Club and member of Worthington Christian Village Church; former member of Spring Road Church of Christ and Harlem Grange. Volunteer at Worthington Christian Village. Survived by daughters, Carolyn (Gary) Carmichael of Galena and Cindy (Dave) Collins of Hoschton, GA; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and many good friends. Preceded in death by her husband, Carl E. Johnson, sister, Dorothy McCutcheon, brothers, Paul and Nyle Strawser. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Sunday 2-4 p.m. where service will be held Monday at 10 a.m., Pastor Floyd Bosher, officiating. Interment Fancher Cemetery.
Memorial service will be held at Worthington Christian Village, 165 Highbluffs blvd., Columbus, OH Monday at 3 p.m., Pastor Phil Williams, officiating. Contributions may be made to Worthington Christian Village.

So sorry to hear about Ruth’s passing. I always enjoyed talking to her and to Carl as well. They were such good people. I got to know them through the pizza shop and really enjoyed it when they came in. I really got a kick out of Ruth and her sister when she was in town. I know you all have a lot of great memories of her. Sorry I could not make the services. I will be thinking of you.

She was a special lady. Loved her painting and her sense of humor. We will not be able to
