Ruth Ann (Schick) Pfarr, passed away September 22, 2022. Born and raised in Westerville, Ohio. Graduated from Westerville High School in 1946. Attended Otterbein University, Ohio State University and Franklin University. Retired as Personnel Manager, Columbus Southern Ohio Electric Company (AEP) with 36 years of service. She was involved in various civic and community organizations during her working career. Former member of Broadstreet Presbyterian Church Choir and Columbus Symphony Chorus. Current member of Northwest United Methodist Church. She was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and followed them faithfully. She also enjoyed golf, bowling, Tai Chi and was an avid reader and loved to cross stitch. Preceded in death by her parents, Henri and Mae (Freeman) Schick, brothers, Eugene, James and Curtis and sister, Mary L. Orndorff. She is survived by her husband, John "Tony" Pfarr; daughter, Marilyn (Tony) Mora of California; stepdaughters, Deborah (Jim) Holt of Florida and Toni (Richard) Ansley of Columbus; grandchildren, Katje (Wanton) Davis, Kyle (Cira) VanLeeuwen, Tracy VanLeeuwen, Damon (Sara) VanLeeuwen of California, Jessica (Chris) Krasen of Cincinnati, Richard A. Ansley of Columbus, Jamie (Cari Catlin) Holt of Maryland, Lori (Randy) Christman of Florida; great-grandchildren, Keaton, Piper, and Cody Davis, Ever, Addy, and Wila VanLeeuwen, Axel and Leo VanLeeuwen, Max Burrows, Hazel and Miles Krasen, Ashley (Tyler) Thompson. She was also blessed with wonderful nieces and nephews and their families and loved them all. She truly believed that LOVE has no bloodlines. Visitation will be held on Monday September 26, 2022 from 12:00 pm-1:30 pm at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081 with a service at 1:30pm and burial immediately following at Otterbein Cemetery. Ruth Schick Osborne Pfarr was my boss at CSOE is the late 70's. She was a fun boss to have and very dedicated to her role as Personnel Manager. She didn't know a stranger. She will be missed by those who worked with her and loved her.
