BLAKE
Roy J. Blake, age 87, of Columbus, OH, former resident of Westerville, OH for 32 years, passed away Sunday, June 27, 2010 at home. Worked as a rate auditor at National Car Loaded and Commercial Lovelace Motor Freight. U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Former member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Catherine; son David. Survived by wife of 62 years, Freda; children, Roy Daniel (Diane) Blake of Benbrook, TX, Cindy Sanderson of Topeka, KS, Jo Ann (Tom) Rosshirt of Belton, SC and Bill (Karen) Blake of Cicero, IN; daughter-in-law, Patricia Lynn Blake of Huntington, WV; 13 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren. Friends may visit Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. Fr. Charlie Cotton officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice 793 West State Street, Columbus, OH 43222.
