Rosemary (Phillips) Mullins at age 92 went to be in the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 surrounded by family & friends.

Rosemary, better known as "The General" was born on 1-3-1933 in Raleigh, North Carolina. Shortly after her birth, the family moved & she was raised in Haysi, Virginia. With, her Nine brothers & sisters. The family lived off the land by farming & gardening.

At the age of 17 Rosemary married the love of her life Marvin Mullins. Settling in Clintwood Virginia & opening a small diner. Where she waitressed & Marvin cooked. Marvin also worked in the local coal mines. They eventually moved to Ohio & both worked at North American Rockwell. Rosemary worked on the factory floor eventually promoting to an administrative assistant in the offices. Promoting again to supervise her own teams. Taking a big leap of faith, she opened an upscale womens clothing & bridal store, Marhe Boutique. Which eventually had two locations in Westerville & Reynoldsburg. The stores Operated between 1973 & eventually was later sold in 1994.

Rosemary was a Force to be reckoned with & was lovingly called The General by both family & friends. She would let you know she was a 5 star, not a 4 star. If you wanted something done, she was the person who would rally the troops. To do whatever it took to get the job done. Often sucking you into whatever project she was involved with. Not like you had a choice. She was strong willed, determined, dependable, & sometimes a little forceful. She loved to travel, camping, marshmallow fights, flower gardening, playing euchre, other card games, & dominos. She studied her bible, attended church on a regular basis & just enjoyed being with her family, neighbors, & friends.

Even in retirement, Rosemary never slowed down. She loved the Lord & was very active at Genoa Baptist Church. There she was involved in VBS, Troop ministry, & making special gifts for nursing home residents. Her philanthropy continued by volunteering with A Kid Again by spearheading several auctions & galas over years to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for children with life threatening illness. For the last several years she has made blankets for Kobacker House & yarn balls for the Hospice School Outreach program. She also enjoyed participating in ringing the bell for the Salvation Army at Christmas.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, George & Lillie (Sykes) Phillips. The Love of her life Marvin Mullins. Brothers Ralph Phillips, Earl Phillips, Cody Bill Phillips, Euther Phillips, & W. C. Phillips. Sisters Glenna Blackwell, & Doris Ann Rubenstein Lundquist. Great Great Grandson Sebastian Tarbox Keibler.
