Ron Kerlee, age 82, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away on April 21, 2024. He was born on September 2, 1941, in Urbana, Ohio. Ron, also known as Ronnie, was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Ron is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cathy Burner Kerlee, and his children Brandon Kerlee and Tearon Kerlee Flaningan, his stepson Chad Scheideger (Nancy), grandson Caleb Scheideger, sister-in-law Connie Adams and good college friend Bill Beatty Chillicothe Ohio.

Ron graduated from Urbana High School and started college at 17 years old, earning his bachelor's and master's degrees in engineering at Ohio University and later an MBA at Xavier University in Cincinnati Ohio.

After receiving his OU degrees Ron secured a position with Standard Oil of Ohio. Soon after that he enlisted in the Army active duty for two years, and later 6 years in the reserves. Ron was a dedicated professional. His positions following the Army were with IRD Mechanalysis Limited, RG Berry, Bosch Zanesville Ohio as President, Artromick International, The Timken Company, Tracewell Systems and as a professor at Franklin University Columbus Ohio. The position he loved most was teaching at Franklin, where he taught statistics and business problem solving for over 41 years. The students voted him the most popular instructor and would wait to take Ron's class for the dreaded, but required, statistics course. He worked to make the class fun and practical. One example he used was doing Coke and Pepsi taste tests.

Ron had an amazing career and a delightful personality. He will be dearly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

Graveside service will be held at Northlawn Memory Gardens, 7060 N. State Street, Westerville, on Friday, June 7, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. with military honors
