Ronald O. Hyde, age 88, of Westerville, passed away January 24, 2018. He was a retired machinist and teacher employed by various shops throughout Ohio and New York. He was a member of the Church of the Savior United Methodist Church and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Ron was an avid collector of model trains, antique toys and other collectibles. He is survived by his wife, Jo (Alistine) of 67 years; and children, Glenn Hyde, Lorena (Kerry) Dobbins, Albert Hyde and Paul (Linda) Hyde; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; and sister, Shirley (Ernie) Norton. Mr. Hyde was preceded in death by his brothers, Marlin, Albert and Robert Hyde. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday from 6-8 p.m. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Church of the Savior United Methodist Church in Westerville, Ohio.
