Roberta “Bert” Thomas, age 95, of Columbus, OH passed away December 17, 2016 at the Pickerington Nursing and Rehab Center in Pickerington, OH. Retired from Citi Financial (City Loan and Savings). She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed reading and was known to all for her love of cats. Survived by her daughter, Barbara Vandall; grandson, Mike (Anne) Vandall; and great-granddaughter Emily; devoted friend, Robin Amos and her children; niece, Susan Morris; and sisters, Marilyn Hagan, Barbara Christy and Sharon Conklin. Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Thomas; parents, Mary and George Hadaway; son-in-law, Charles “Skip” Vandall; sister, Sara Allen; brothers, Robert and Donald Hadaway; and dear friend, Jan Clark. Memorial service will be held at MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, OH Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 4 p.m.. Private interment Union Cemetery, Columbus, OH. In lieu of flowers, memorial dontions may be given to The Cat Welfare Association, 741 Wetmore Road, Columbus, OH 43214.
