MORELAND


Robert J. Moreland, age 72, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away at home Tuesday, September 20, 2016. Co-Owner of Moreland Funeral Home. A 1962 graduate of Westerville High School. Attended Otterbein College and graduated from The Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Former volunteer firefighter with the City of Westerville. Member Church of the Messiah United Methodist, the Central Ohio Funeral Directors Association, Ohio Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, Otterbein “O” Club, Blendon Lodge #339 F & AM, Scottish Rite and the Aladdin Shrine. He also loved to play golf. Survived by fiance’, Theresa; daughters, Jennifer (Jude) of Westerville, Julie of Lewis Center; grandchildren, Carolyn, Abbie, Tyler, Bobby, Caitlyn and Cassidy; brother, Jack (Peggy); nieces and nephews, Cliff (Kelly), Andy (Leslie), David (Amanda), Christa (Evan), Tim and Danny; and many friends. Preceded in death by his daughter, Jodi; parents, Kenneth and Dolores. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville on Sunday, September 25th from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.. A service will be held at the Church of the Messiah, 51 North State Street, Westerville on Monday, September 26th at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. Friends, if they wish, may contribute to the Susan G. Komen Foundation 929 Eastwind Drive, Suite 211, Westerville, OH 43081, in honor of his daughters, Jennifer and Julie.

To the Moreland Family,
I am truly sorry to hear about your loss. It was never God’s intend for us to die and he promises in the near future to eliminate death. Revelations chapter 21 verses 3 and 4. Soon Jesus’ words regarding the resurrection found at John chapter 5 verses 28 and 29 will be here and we can welcome back to earth our loved ones and live forever on a paradise earth. Psalm 37 verse 29. I hope that theses scriptures bring you comfort and encouragement.
