MAGEE
Robert Magee, ED.D, age 86, passed into eternity November 8, 2016. He was born April 8, 1930 to Charles and Marjorie Moran Magee in Niagara Falls. He attended local parochial schools. He and Eugenia Fulgenzi were married November 28, 1957 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Niagara Falls by the Rev. Bernard Magee, uncle of Robert. Robert received a BA in English from Niagara University, MS in Education from Canisius College and a doctorate from the University of Buffalo in curriculum planning and supervision. Dr. Magee belonged to the Phi Delta Kappa honor society, the Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development, The New York State United Teachers and the American Federation of Teachers Local 801. He belonged to the Ancient Order of Hibernians, St. Peters Holy Name Society, Lewiston. He was recognized by the Potsdam Board of Education, The Potsdam Booster Club and the Potsdam Senior Class. Bob especially enjoyed his work with the New York State Migrant Education Program, The Highland Avenue Senior Citizens Organization and the Community Vocational Education Program. Robert is survived by his wife Eugenia; daughter, Mary (Dr. Daniel) Rowland of New Albany, OH; sons, John Magee of Maitland FL and Daniel (Kathleen Go) Magee of Westerville, OH; grandchildren, Patrick and Emily Rowland of New Albany, OH. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Church of the Resurrection Catholic Church, 6300 E. Dublin-Granville Road, New Albany, OH Friday at 2 p.m., Rev. Fr. Jim Csaszar, celebrant. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Lewis Center, OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Foundation: The Heart Center, P.O. My condolences to all of the Magee family on the loss of your husband, father, and grandfather. Many years ago, it was a privilege to have the Magee children in elementary school and to work with Bob in educational offerings.
