Robert John Belding, known to many as Bobby, was born on November 9, 1968, in Cleveland, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Belding; his mother, Darlene Belding; and his niece, Brooke Belding. He is survived by his brother, Richard Belding (Molli) of Westerville, Ohio; his sister, Danielle Belding-Smith of Huntersville, North Carolina; brother, Zachary Belding, of Brooklyn Heights; nieces, Bean Belding and Sophia Smith; and nephews, Mason, Chase, and Coleton Belding.

Bobby graduated from Westerville North High School in 1987. After graduation, he started his own maintenance supply company. In 2010, he moved to San Diego, California, where he spent 12 years before returning to Columbus, Ohio in 2022 to focus on his sobriety. During his recovery, Bobby set a goal to start another business—one he proudly achieved with the founding of B & B Janitorial Maintenance Supply in 2024. In addition to running his company, he worked in facility services at Otterbein College and cleaned local offices in the evenings.

Bobby’s greatest passion was helping others. In his community, he was known for giving rides to neighbors, taking them to appointments, or helping with groceries. His generous spirit, distinctive humor, and off-the-cuff remarks made him a beloved friend to many.

Friends may pay their respects on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville, OH 43081. A short memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m.

I was greatly saddened by Bobby\'s passing. Bobby was a great person who had to fight off many demons which he finally did. I last talked to him at Wendalls at he was so happy and proud of what he accomplished and I told so was I. Eternal peace for Bobby and God Bless the Belding family in this time of loss. Remember, whenever you think of Bobby he will be right there with you.
