Robert Charles Gift, 29, suffered a stroke and died on December 27, 2012, while vacationing with family in Orlando, Florida. He was born September 3, 1983, in Columbus, to Stanley and Lavaughn Gift. He participated in youth sports and Scouts, and became a math and computer whiz-kid. He shared a love of on-line and RP gaming with his younger brother, Mike, who was also his close friend. Rob graduated from Thomas Worthington High School in 2002, and from Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in computer engineering in 2007. He joined SenTek Corporation as their software engineer in 2007. He thrived in a career that required disciplined logic and imagination to solve real-world problems and meet client deadlines in a global industry. Rob’s generous heart, adventurous spirit, big, friendly smile, and warm, caring hugs are sorely missed. He is survived by mother and stepfather, Lavaughn and Chris Margraff, father and stepmother, Stanley and Jade Gift, brother Michael Gift, stepbrother and sister, Chris and Samantha Margraff, grandparents Dorothy Cecil, Charles Margraff and Marselle Margraff, extended family and friends. A very private person, Rob had asked that, should he pass, his remains be cremated and there be no funeral service. Arrangements by MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, Westerville.
