Robert D. Boster

Robert D. Boster, age 85, of Westerville, Ohio, passed away on August 14, 2026 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born May 20, 1941, in Gallipolis, Ohio, to the late Owen and Leona Boster.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his son, Kerry; brothers Owen, Gene; sister Martha; sister-in-law Shirley Boster; and nephew Gordy Boster. He is survived by his loving wife Marty of 46 years; his children Joey (Brian) Zaborowski, Darin Boster, and Terry (Tom) Durkin; grandchildren Aiden and Ava Zaborowski, Justin (Shannon) Boster, Becky (Isreal) Finck, Dustin Boster, and Deanna Boster; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert retired from AT&T after 34 years of dedicated service. He grew up in the Gallipolis area before moving to Columbus in 1958. After retiring, he built homes in the Reynoldsburg, Ohio, area. He raised and showed Morgan horses for 25 years and enjoyed many years boating on the Ohio River with family and friends. Robert had a lifelong passion for Corvettes and spent many happy years traveling the East Coast in his beloved cars. He will be remembered for his dedication to his family, his strong work ethic, and the many friendships he made throughout his life. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Friends may call from 1:00-3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 20, 2026, at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, OH where a funeral will immediately follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Calvin Alexander officiating.  Burial will follow in the Blendon Central Cemetery, Westerville.
