Bob Crain, age 72, of Westerville, passed away June 7, 2017 at home. Member of Grace Lutheran Church. Active volunteer for Westerville Youth Baseball and Softball League and also Lutheran Sports Association of Illinois. Survived by his wife of 47 years, Dorothy; sons, Bob (Alicia) Crain, Jr. and Steve Crain; grandchildren, Morgan and Evan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bill (Gwen) Zeiter, Beth Zeiter (Jeff Baker); several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Friday from 4-8 p.m. where service will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m., Pastor Richard Walston, officiating. Interment Blendon Central Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or WYBSL Scholarship. As an avid Chicago sports fan, Bob finally enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs win a World Series – Go Cubs.

We are so sorry to hear of Bob’s passing. We spent many weekends together for the LSA and formed a close friendship between our families. Bob was a very special man with a very kind heart. Please know that we are thinking of all of you during this difficult time. His knowledge and wisdom will be missed within the LSA organization.
