Richard E. “Rick” Townley, age 48, of Westerville, OH. August 30, 2010 at home surrounded by his loving family. Co-owner of Interstate Batteries. Member of Rattlesnake Golf Club. Avid bowler and golfer. Devoted husband, father and friend. Survived by his wife of 24 years, Beth; sons, Brad and Chad; parents, Ed and Freda Townley; brothers, Mike (Linda), Gary (Mary) and Ron Townley; mother-in-law, Jean Riscavage; sister-in-law, Beth (Doug) Mulpas; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Preceded in death by
his brother, Ken Townley. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Thursday 5-8 p.m. where service will be held Friday at 3 p.m., Rev. David Redding, officiating. Private interment Sunbury Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The James Cancer Hospital.

I am really sorry to hear about your loss. I just found out today. Rick and I was best friends from 1st to 4th grade, Then ran into him again in the 80s working at Automotive Services. Rick was the same then and he was in school. It was rare not to see him either laughing or at least smiling. He really seemed to enjoy life. He truly was a very Good hearted person.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Our Family will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as we just went through this with our mom on July 28, 2010 very expectedly.
