OFFENBACHER

Richard E. Offenbacher, age 88, of Columbus, Ohio; passed away March 24, 2015. He was born November 24, 1926 in Zanesville, Ohio. He attended Lash High School in Zanesville, Ohio. He was a hard worker holding down several jobs at one time. Formerly employed by Baker Bread Co. and American Match Co. both of Zanesville and retired from Worthington Foods in 1992 as a process machine operator. He enjoyed growing and working with Bonsai trees, working with model trains, liked to fish and loved to travel the state of Ohio. He was a friend to all who met him. He is survived by his daughter, Kathleen (Ralph) Jahn of Painesville, Ohio; grandsons, Michael and Matthew (Jennifer); great-grandchildren, Tera, Savannah, Byron and Abrieonna; sister, Pat James of Zanesville; nephew, David James of Columbus and niece, Melissa James Lautzenhiser of Hilliard; great-nieces, Lauren and Karli. Preceded in death by his wife, Eileen (Goebel) Offenbacher; parents, Clyde and Katherine (Johnson) Offenbacher. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville, Monday, March 30, 2015 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. followed by a service at 1 p.m., Dr. David Hogg, officiating. Entombment Union Cemetry Mausoleum.
