Richard M. “Dick” Garee

Richard M. "Dick" Garee, age 84, of Centerburg, OH, formerly of Sunbury, OH passed away September 6, 2023. Graduate of Big Walnut High School. A dedicated worker in the Funeral Industry his entire life with Jerry Spears Funeral Home, DeVore Funeral Home, National Sales Manager for Clark Grave Vault Co. and currently with Moreland Funeral Homes. U.S. Army veteran. Member of The Bridge-Sunbury, Amvets Post #59, Sparrow Lodge #400 F.& A.M., Scottish Rite, Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple Shrine. Former Zoning Inspector for Trenton Township. Dick enjoyed life and nature and would often stop to smell the roses. Survived by his wife of 64 years, Marsha; daughter, Gina (James) Butler; son Rich (Becky) Garee; grandchildren, Angela (Morgan) Rinehart, Nickolas and Grath Garee and Josh Butler; great-grandchildren, Reece and Aubry Rinehart; Brayden Garee, Savanah Hendrix, Gunner and Paisley Butler; brother, John (Jann) Garee; sister-in-law, Sally Lechler; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Earl M. "Butch" Lechler. Friends may call at the Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E.
