Richard E. Smith

Richard E. Smith, age 83, of Croton, Ohio passed away 9/1/2022. He was born 2/6/1939 to Ray and Jessie (Rife) Smith. Richard was a 1957 graduate of Johnstown-Monroe High School. A lifelong farmer retiring in 2000. He and his wife Nita enjoyed many years traveling the country in their truck and travel trailer seeing many wonderful sites and meeting new friends along the way. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey Smith and brothers, Herbert Smith and James Cowell. Richard is survived by his wife of 63 years, Delores Juanita (Anderson) Smith; children, Stuart (Sharon) Smith, Cheryl Hicks and Andrea (Paul) Sweetman; 7 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (Larry) Meade; uncle, Noel Smith.
