Richard Oliver Davis, age 79, of Lewis Center, OH, went home to be with the Lord on February 17, 2011. World War II Veteran, proudly served and was decorated in the European Theatre in both the U.S. Army and Navy. Educated at Bliss College and The Ohio State University. Retired international executive engineer from Ranco, Inc. Member of Berlin Presbyterian Church. Survived by three daughters, Cindy Lynn Davis of Palm Desert, CA, Kathleen Anne (David) Harris, and Carolyn Sue Davis, both from Columbus; seven grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; older brother Bobby (Mallory) Davis of Massillon, OH; brother-in-law, John Gilmore; nieces, nephews, and many brothers and sisters in Christ. Preceded in death by his loving bride of 62 years, Georgette Helena (LaFerriere), by his parents, Thelma May and Alton B. Davis, and his younger sister, Maralyn Gilmore. Friends may call at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 55 E. Schrock Rd., Westerville, Monday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 12:30 p.m., followed by a brief prayer service at 1:00 p.m. then process to Berlin Presbyterian Church, 5175 S. Old State Rd., Lewis Center, OH, for a service at 2:00 p.m., Pastor Rick Negley, officiating. Interment Africa Cemetery.
