Our entire family was very sorry to hear about Dick. We have such fond memories of the get togethers. My mom always talks about Dick and the Air Races (as she called them) how they would go out into the field and watch the planes. He was her playmate.
Our hearts go out to you, I know he will be missed.

Very sorry to hear about Dick. We became friends the first time we met. He was that kind of guy. He once told me that the best thing that ever happened to him was Betty, and we all know that was the truth. Although I haven’t had much contact in years I often thought about Dick and Betty. I have Northfield Park winner circle pictures of Big Wheeler and Signman. Dick and Betty were true friends and I’m sure Dick will be missed. I hope Betty is doing O.K. My deepest condolences. Jerry Szell.
