Pearl V. Fairchild, age 100, of Westerville, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 5, 2015. Born in Slab Fork, West Virginia on August 6, 1914. Pearl was a waitress at the Fort Hayes Hotel for 25 years. She then worked at Western Electric until her retirement. A member of First Baptist Church of New Albany. Pearl was the last surviving child of Charles and Minnie Viars’ 14 children. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edgar. Survived by her son, David (Sharon) Fairchild; daughter, Nancy (Jim) Strawser; granddaughter, Lisa (Chris) Roush; great-granddaughter, Savannah Roush; many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 10th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the MORELAND FUNERAL HOME 55 East Schrock Road, Westerville where a service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Pastor George Pease officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made, in Pearl’s name, to First Baptist Church of New Albany, 6484 Condit Road, New Albany, OH 43054.

Please accept our deepest sympathy. Your mom was such a wonderful lady. We have such great memories of her. The talks we had under the “sweet gum” tree are some memories we will keep forever in our hearts. We love both Mrs. & Mr. Fairchild very much.
