He was married to the love of his life and soulmate Patricia Hughes, who preceded him in death in 2020. A loving husband and father, and a very proud grandfather, he is survived by his son David Michael (Tori) of Toledo and four grandchildren: Owen Cattey-Hayes, Taelyn Rose Cattey, Remy Anne Cattey, and Jaedyn Kelley. His daughter Kaitlyn Taylor Cattey preceded him in death in 2008.

Pat was an accomplished and well-known automotive technician having achieved his ASE Master Tech Certification at a very young age and a 35-year career with Clintonville Automotive Repair Service in Columbus. He enjoyed motorcycling, competitive marksmanship, woodworking, travel and Ohio State athletics. Ultimately, he and his late wife Patti were devoted to animal preservation efforts and enjoyed rescuing homeless dogs, the latest of which was his pal Cupcake.
Friends may call Thursday July 25 from 5 to 8pm at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Road, Westerville Ohio, followed by a prayer service at 7:30 pm.
