Patricia Jean “Pat” Sherman, age 91, of Centerburg, passed away Tuesday, October 27, at the CountryView Nursing Home in Sunbury, Ohio after a long illness. Pat was born December 12, 1923, in Centerburg, Ohio to Dorothy (Bishop) and Elmo Willis. She was a 1941 graduate of Galion High School and briefly attended The Ohio State University. Pat and her husband, Ron shared their 60 years together on their farm near Centerburg where Pat was a wonderful mother, grandmother and homemaker who lived her life for her family. Especially dear to her were her two grandsons that she so enjoyed. She is survived by her son, Jim Sherman and his wife, Denise (Mirise) of Centerburg; daughter, Susan Sherman of the home; grandsons, Bob Sherman of Centerburg and Tom Sherman, and wife Margaret (Martin) of Fredericktown; numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ronald in 2011, an infant son, parents, sister, Donna Hunter and brother, John Willis, who both passed away in 2014. Friends may call at the JOHNSON-MELICK-MORELAND FUNERAL HOME, 49 W. Church Street, Centerburg, Saturday from 10-11 a.m. followed by a service at 11 a.m., Evangelist Fred Albrecht, officiating. Interment Eastview Cemetery.
