N. Geylean Daniel, 96, passed away peacefully on July 27, 2023. Born June 9, 1927, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Betty, and son-in-law, Ken Cada. He is survived by his two children, Mick (Nancy) Daniel, Ft. Collins, CO, and Debby (Ken, deceased) Cada, Westerville, OH. Nine grandchildren: Matt (Kerry) Daniel, Highland Ranch, CO; Brad (Sarah) Daniel, Ft. Collins, CO; Chris (Julie) Daniel, Ft. Collins, CO; Brett (Leslie) Daniel, Ft. Collins, CO; Meghan (Garret) Moulton, Ft. Windsor, CO; Anthony Cada, Westminster, CO; Tina (Alex) Beaty, Westerville, OH; Heather (Tyler) Bernard, Columbus, OH; Tim (Maegan) Cada, Westerville, OH. Also, 22 great-grandchildren.
N.G. had a deep love for family, the great outdoors, baseball, softball, football, and watching Westerns. He loved to tell stories about the days growing up in rural Nebraska, his love for wife, Betty, of 62 years, and about his hunting and fishing trips. More recently, N.G. enjoyed watching the Cleveland Guardians, Ohio State and Nebraska football, and his favorite Western TV shows. He always enjoyed going out to breakfast with his family and friends, where he enjoyed the warm conversations as much as the warm
meals.
N.G.'s warm heart and friendly nature endeared him to all who met him. A man of great kindness and a love of God, he was always ready to lend a hand or offer words of encouragement. As we bid farewell, we take solace in knowing that he lived a life filled with adventure, joy, and love. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends on August 6th, in Westerville, Ohio, from 3-6pm, at Grizzlybird Brewing, 5901 Chandler Ct., Westerville, Ohio, 43082. A memorial service will be held at the Stanton Cemetery at 10 AM on August 19th, in Stanton, Nebraska, followed by a Celebration of Life at the Stanton VFW.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Cancer Research through Pelotonia rider Tyler Bernard https://www.pelotonia.org/profile/TB0127.
