Nancy Elizabeth (Ganz) Wilke, age 81, of Westerville passed away peacefully on November 25. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on December 31, 1943 to Emma Elizabeth (Campbell) and Walter Ganz. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Edith and brother-in-law Howard Watson.

She is survived by her niece (who was like a sister to Nancy) Edy (Watson) Meyer; children Brian (Annie) Wilke, Aimee (Chad) Van Fossen, and Sarah (Kirk) Weaver; Grandchildren Miles and Wren Wilke, Gabby and Jax Van Fossen, and Cohen, Brody, Tatum, and Claire Weaver.

Nancy would always light up a room and bring smiles to those around her. Conversations and advice will be dearly missed, among many other "gifts" she gave to family and friends throughout her life. One such memory was dressing up EVERY Halloween and making vegetable soup (with beef) and coney dogs - yum. We will continue to savor and celebrate.

She knew no stranger and could strike up a friendly conversation with anyone. We are so thankful to witness this kindness throughout her life because it has shown us how important human connection and genuine concern for others is and the happiness it brings.

When able, Nancy was involved in Westerville Community United Church of Christ. She was thankful for the support and messages from the church and her family enjoyed reading the updates and sermon messages to her.

The family would like to thank Bella Hospice and the caring staff at Capris Gardens in Lewis Center for the comfort and care provided near the end of Nancy's life.

Donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (https://www.stjude.org/) or Polar Bears International (https://polarbearsinternational.org/) as she had a caring heart for children in need and Polar Bears loss of habitat.

A celebration of Nancy's life will be held at a later date.
