Myrna Virgina Rouhana passed away in her sleep Friday, May 5, 2023 at the age of 85. Preceded in death by her husband Michel Rouhana, both parents, John and Pearl Massey, sister Mona Massey, and sister Mary (Paul) Singer. Survived by daughter Melissa (Troy) Callow, son Drew Rouhana, both of Westerville, grandchildren Kennedy and Tatum Callow, brothers Robert Massey and Roger Massey, numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
She was born January 15, 1938, in Bellaire, Ohio. She graduated from Wheeling High School in 1957 and graduated from Harding University in 1964 with a LSW degree. She worked as a social worker at Ohio Valley Hospital where she started their social service program. She married Michel Rouhana on June 21, 1969 and moved to Columbus, Ohio where she continued her career at Ohio State University Hospital. Shortly after, they moved to Westerville.
Myrna was an active member of the Church of Christ and was involved with many activities at Spring Road Church of Christ and Fishinger and Kenny Roads Church of Christ. She was also a volunteer for the school PTA, Brownies, Cub Scouts, and Band Boosters. She eventually went back to work at the Ohio Youth Advocate Program where she was an international adoptions coordinator.
In later years she was a doting Nana and great aunt to the young children of the family. She loved to cook and bake, and was known for her Magic Cookie bars, as well as extra garlicky hummus. Her devotion to her family, kindness and generosity will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Monday, May 8, 2023 from 5 - 8pm and Tuesday May 9, 2023 from 10 - 11am with the service immediately following at 11am at Moreland Funeral Home, 55 E. Schrock Rd., Westerville, Ohio 43081. Entombment Northlawn Memory Gardens.
